Governance is a prime activity that acts as a bridge between the management and stakeholders. The institution has a full governing council composed of luminaries from various walks of life that devotes all policies and decisions related to academics and administration. To ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the governing council, many academic and administrative bodies have been formed with duties and responsibilities. The college's governing council meets twice a year to discuss various issues and aspects contributing to the development of the college, and the Governing Council should pass the budget. During the meeting, the suggestions from the planning and monitoring board are resolved. It chalks out a roadmap to achieve the goals of the institution.

Subject to the existing provision in the bye-laws of the college and rules laid down by the state government, the governing council shall have powers to:

✓ Fix the fees and other charges payable by the college students on the recommendations of the Finance Committee.

✓ Institute scholarships, fellowships, studentships, medals, prizes, and certificates on the advice of the Academic Council

✓ Approve institution's of new programs of study leading to degrees.

✓ Perform other functions and institute committees as may be necessary and deemed fit for the proper development and fulfill the objectives for which the college has been declared autonomous.

Term: The term of the nominated members shall be two years.

Meeting: The GC members shall meet at least twice a year or when necessary.
